Many thanks to the staff and pupils of Park Lane Specialist School for Communication and Interaction for sharing these photos of their Blitz school WW2 workshop when they learned all about life in the Second World War.
make sure you listen to your Air Raid Warden!

To the soundtrack of wartime songs all the pupils soon got stuck in to investigate the artefacts with some convincing acting thrown in to the bargain!
Watch out for that doodlebug!
To top it all off, the morning ended with a very competitive stirrup pump competition, with more than one person getting a little bit wet as they found out what it was like to put incendiary bombs out in the second world war.

The pupils then went on to sample Second World War rationing with some great WW2 recipes made patiently by the teachers which, together with the pupils’ brilliant home made costumes, meant the whole day was a truly unforgettable ‘Blitz’ experience for everybody.
saving the school from incendiaries!

Thanks again to all the pupils and staff and keep checking back for more pictures of our workshops as schools send them in. If you would like to see a more detailed set of pictures, they can be viewed on our Blitz School workshop website here.
